This little sushi restaurant is tucked away in the corner across from Von's. Wonderful fast, friendly service! Creative chefs preparing fresh & favorful food!! The Unagi Bowl (I love eel!) & cucumber salad were definitely filling. Very nice seating area. I can't wait to try the Dynamite Roll, but expect a short wait since they bake it.

This place always has a line of customers waiting outside the door, and now I know why! I had lunch here today, and everything was absolutely perfect. I ordered the Lunch Bento Box and chose the Chicken Teriyaki and California Roll. While waiting for my food, I enjoyed a stunning view of Hermosa Beach. The food quality was outstanding, but what really blew me away was the price--unbelievably reasonable! There's no other restaurant in the area offering this level of quality at such a great price. The customer service was also excellent. The staff brought the food to the table as soon as it was ready and cleared it away promptly once I was finished. Highly, highly recommend!

Highly recommend you cater from this restaurant as a choice for your next company get together! I set up this myself but the food speaks for itself! How much food that comes with the bento boxes is perfect. Everyone was happily full and even had left overs we enjoyed next day. Sushi, salads, tempura, and meat were all so savory and delicious. Honestly not a lot of bento boxes come with this much food so I'm definitely returning. Hopefully can even enjoy coming to dine in and experience that. Give it a try!

It's great to see California Sushi & Teriyaki back again! It's a little different, new location, less space but still good food and good value! The staff seems a bit happier and eager to serve. The space is updated and clean. The bento boxes and combos are all pretty much the same as before, which is great! We've been coming to the new location for much of the past year and the consistency of food and service has been fantastic!

This place just hits the spot. It's a tiny little shop at the corner of a Plaza that serves absolutely delicious sushi. You order at the counter and your food is delivered to your table by their friendly staff. This is my third visit and I'm always wowed by how delicious their sushi is. This time round, I ordered a chef seldctionsashimi set and was confronted with 2pc albacore, 2pc tuna, 2pc salmon, 2pc yellowtail, 1pc shrimp, and 1pc eel. They were delectable and the accompanying veggies were really good, the pickled veg in particular offering a crunch with mild sweet and sour taste. I have had their sushi rolls proper in the past when I brought guests along with me, and they were outstanding as well, with the dynamite roll, beef teriyaki roll, and salmon skin rolls being among my favorites. Bring your friends and lovers of sushi along because this is one stop you don't want to miss!

Will be back! Had a craving for something a little different and Fat Kitty hit the spot. We are not really into raw fish sushi, but we do like cut rolls on occasion. Stumbled onto the men for this location, liked that several items are available in 5 pieces or 10 pieces, liked that there appeared to be bowls, plates and bento on the menu, and REALLY liked the reasonable looking prices! Came in and the restaurant is clean with several tables to sit at. Loved that they have serve yourself fountain drinks. Service was friendly and fast. The food all tasted delicious. One tip: if you like lox and cream cheese, get the Lox without a Bagel roll. If you don't like the "extras" that come with it, order it without the extras and consider it an upgraded Philly. The smoked salmon puts any other Philly roll to shame!

Nice quick stop for a rice bowl, turned out to be a high quality bento style plate with salad and tempura to boot! What a pleasant surprise the house dressing was amazing and we really appreciated the light application of teriyaki sauce so we could add more later at the table if desired. I had dark meat well done, husband ordered white. What a huge meat portion, we had leftovers and only spent $23 on lunch.
